Tracks like For A Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic, That’s What You Get and Fences are brilliantly punchy pop-punk tracks while When It Rains and Let The Flames begin show a more sombre and thoughtful side to the band that would only get built on more and more as the band changed over time.

There was once a time that this album would have been at the top spot and don’t get me wrong this album is still a pop-punk classic and there are some jams on this album for sure. That said because of how much the band try out on the album at times it can be a bit unfocused and some songs such as Ain’t It Fun for me seem a bit more simplistic and considering this is the bands longest album to date it does lead to some songs feeling a bit more like filler.

With that said tracks like Fast In My Car, Anklebiters, Proof and Future are great tracks and I do like how the band tried a lot of new ideas out on the album, also the more upbeat sound definitely makes this a unique album in the bands catalogue. So you may be wondering why it’s still only coming in at the number 4 spot? Well to put it simply since this album grew on me and I began to enjoy it a lot more I honestly don’t think Paramore have a bad album, however overall I still think it falls in the lower half of my list. Obviously everyone has to start somewhere and while I do like this album overall I still feel it’s much weaker than what the band would go on to make.Īs I said in my review of this album I initially thought this was the worst album Paramore had released but over time it had grown on me. However I also think that tracks like Never Let This Go or Whoa serve as reminders as to how young and inexperienced the band were at the time this came out. Tracks such as All We Know, My Heart and Emergency are honestly great tracks that still hold up and stand tall as the best of this album. I do appreciated the more gritty and emo-tinged style of this album and I definitely feel that this is a truly unique album in the bands discography. With every album the band have released since this album I feel that the band have only gotten better and pushed themselves further which I feel has actually made this album seem weaker by comparison. All We Know Is Falling as I said in my review is a good album however I also felt that there were some issues with the album, particularly with the writing and instrumentation. Look something has to be last, and if something needs to come in last place I always think it’s a good sign that it be the artists first album. But regardless it’s time we got on with it starting at number 5: In many cases it was only slight things that made the difference between ranking one higher than the other and even the albums on the lower end of the list are still good albums. This was difficult, I’m pretty sure I’ve said that for every album ranking I’ve done but Paramore have been a remarkably consistent band pretty much throughout their career and while I knew what albums would be in last and first place the middle was a pain. So I’ve finished reviewing all albums released by American pop-punk/alternative rock band Paramore and now it’s time to rank them all from best to worst…
